1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Smoked sausage - cut in 1/2" slices |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Potatoes - (to 4) - cut into 1" cubes (medium) |
1 | Green peas - (15 oz) - undrained | |
1 | Chopped tomatoes - (15 oz) - undrained | |
(may use plain, Italian seasoned, etc.) | ||
1 | French onion soup | |
(or 2 cubes beef boullion, 2 tbspns onion | ||
Flakes and 1 1/2 cups water) |
Dump it all in the crockpot and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
The original recipe called for canned french onion soup, but to cut down on sodium, you may substitute low-salt boullion, onion flakes and water.
