Millet Stew Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Millet |
4 cups | 948ml | Water |
2 | Onions - wedged | |
2 | Potatoes - cut into chunks | |
2 | Carrots - cut into chunks | |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Chunked celery |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Mushrooms - chopped |
2 | Bay leaves | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Basil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Thyme |
Toast millet in a dry skillet for about 5 minutes. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW.
