Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozChuck or round steak - cut
1   Cubes
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozShortening
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion
1 cup 93g / 3.3ozGarlic - minced (small)
3/4 cup 177mlKetchup
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar
2 teaspoons 10mlSalt
2 teaspoons 10mlPaprika
  Pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDry mustard
2 tablespoons 30mlWorcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups 355mlWater
2 tablespoons 30mlFlour
1/4 cup 59mlCold water
1   Noodles - (8 oz)

Recipe Instructions

Brown first 4 ingredients.Combine and mix ketchup,brown sugar,salt paprika,pepper,dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce.Add mixture and 1 1/2 cup water to meat mixture.Simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours.When meat is tender,mix flour and 1/4 cup cold water.Stir into meat mixture.Heat to boiling,stirring constantly.Boil 1 minute.Pour over hot cooked noodles.Serves 6 to 8.
