Joe's Crab Shack's Etouffee Recipe - Cooking Index
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Chopped garlic |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Diced onion |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Diced celery |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cayenne pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Worcestershire sauce |
12 oz | 340g | Condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Condensed cream of celery soup |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Crawfish meat |

Lb raw shrimp, peeled, tails removed) | ||
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Sliced green onions |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped fresh parsley |
3 cups | 480g / 16oz | Joe's Crab Shack's Rice Pilaf - (see recipe) |
Sautee garlic, onion, celery, and green pepper in butter until soft. Stir in spices, soups, water, and meat of your choice.
Bring to simmer and continue cooking until meat is cooked through. Stir in green onion and parsley.
Scoop 1/2 cup Rice Pilaf into center of 6 bowls or soup plates. Pour etouffee over rice.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
