La Madeleine's Shrimp Pastis

Recipe Ingredients

18   Shrimp
3 oz 85gDiced tomato
3 teaspoons 15mlSliced garlic
15 oz 426gBeurre blanc sauce
3 oz 85gPastis (in squeeze bottle)
3 teaspoons 15mlSalt & Pepper Mix
  = (four parts salt to one part black
  Pepper)
3 oz 85gExtra-virgin olive oil
3 teaspoons 15mlChopped fresh parsley - for garnish

Recipe Instructions

Heat a 10-inch saute pan over a medium flame. Add 1 ounce extra-virgin olive oil to the heated pan. Once oil is hot, add shrimp, tomatoes, garlic, and the salt pepper. Saute approximately 2 minutes, until shrimp are almost cooked and garlic is browned.

Remove saute pan from stove. Add pastis, keeping pan away from face as it will flame up. Place pan back on stove. Once flame is gone, add beurre blanc sauce and heat for 30 seconds.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
