Taco Bell's Fire Border Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Tomato paste - (6 oz) | |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Vinegar |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Finely-minced canned jalapeño slices |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chili powder |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dried minced onion |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Corn starch |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Onion powder |
1 | Garlic powder |
Combine the tomato paste with the water in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
Heat mixture over medium-high heat until it begins to boil. Continue to cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat.
When sauce has cooled, poured it into a sealed container and refigerate.
This recipe yields about 3 cups.
