Annabelle's French Toast Recipe - Cooking Index
| 8 | Eggs | |
| 1/2 pint | Half-and-half | |
| Cinnamon - to taste | ||
| Nutmeg - to taste | ||
| Ginger - to taste | ||
| Salt - to taste | ||
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Triple Sec - or to taste (or other orange-flavored liqueur) | 
| 8 slices | French bread | |
| Sweet butter | ||
| Maple syrup | ||
| Whipped cream | ||
| Fresh strawberries | ||
| Slivered almonds | 
Beat together eggs and half-and-half. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt. Add a splash (two tablespoons or to taste) Triple Sec. Thoroughly soak bread in mixture.
Pan-fry in butter until golden. Serve hot, topped with maple syrup (preferably pure maple syrup) and whipped cream. Garnish with strawberries and slivered almonds.
