6 cups | 1422ml | Water |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise or salad dressing |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped green onions |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped green pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Hard-boiled egg - finely chopped (large) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped pimientos |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |

Shredded Iceberg lettuce |
Bring water to a boil; add shrimp, and cook 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Drain well; rinse with cold water. Chill. Peel and devein shrimp. Cover and chill thoroughly.
Combine mayonnaise and next 7 ingredients; stir well. Pour mayonnaise mixture over shrimp, and toss gently. Line a shell shaped bowl or salad bowl with leaf lettuce; top with shredded iceberg lettuce. Spoon shrimp mixture evenly over shredded lettuce.
