Rolled Oats Griddle Cakes Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 cups | 474ml | Quick-cooking oatmeal |
| 2 1/2 cups | 592ml | Buttermilk |
| 1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Flour |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking powder |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Hot water |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter - melted |
| 2 | Eggs - beaten | |
| 8 oz | 227g | Maple syrup |
Soak quick cooking oatmeal in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar; add to the soaked oatmeal. Add baking soda dissolved in hot water, melted butter, and beaten eggs; mix well.
Pour by 1/3 cup onto a greased hot griddle and cook until done, flipping once. Serve with maple syrup
