Grand Waffles With Cider Syrup Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | All-purpose flour |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Whole-wheat flour |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Yellow cornmeal |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Quick or old-fashioned rolled oats |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Vegetables oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Eggs (large) |
2 cups | 474ml | Buttermilk - (to 2 1/2) |
Chopped nuts - (optional) | ||
Cider Syrup - (see recipe) |
In a mixing bowl stir together all the dry ingredients. Add oil, eggs, and buttermilk. Beat together. The batter should be thicker than the pancake batter.
Follow the directions for your waffle iron. Sprinkle nuts over batter just before baking, if desired.
This recipe yields 10 to 12 waffle sections.
