3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 cups | 474ml | Milk |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butter - melted, and slightly cooled |

Sauteed Apples | ||
2 | Tart green apples - (to 3) - peeled, and thinly sliced | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar - (packed) |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cloves |
1 | Salt |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13- by 9- by 2-inch baking pan; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl combine milk, melted butter and eggs; mix well. Pour into oat mixture and stir until just mixed. Spread in prepared baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Serve topped with Sauteed Apples.
Sauteed Apples: Saute apples in a heavy skillet in butter. Add brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Cover skillet and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or until apples are tender.
