Cinnamon Peach Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Juice-packed sliced peaches - (8 3/4 oz) | |
Orange juice - as needed | ||
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | White or brown sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Apple pie spice - see * Note |
* Note: Substitute 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice for the apple pie spice.
Drain peach juice into 1 cup measure. Add orange juice to make one cup. In a small saucepan, heat mixture to boiling.
Combine sugar and cornstarch and stir into boiling mixture. Stir over medium heat until thickened and clear.
Add peaches and serve warm or chilled over waffles, pancakes, French toast, ice cream or plain cake.
This recipe yields 1 1/2 cups.
