Quick Oven Browns Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Chopped onions |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine |
1 | Cream of celery soup - (10 1/2 oz) | |
3 oz | 85g | Cream cheese |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
3 cups | 711ml | Frozen hash browns - (to 4) |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Shredded Cheddar cheese |
Saute onion in butter or margarine. Stir in undiluted soup and cream cheese cut into cubers. Cook stirring constantly until smooth and hot.
Into a lightly greased 1-quart casserole, alternately layer potatoes, soup and cream cheese, ending with a layer of sauce.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
