Granola Bars

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 198g / 7ozButter or margarine
1 cup 160g / 5.6ozBrown sugar - (firmly packed)
1 cup 237mlOrange juice
4 cups 250g / 8.8ozQuick-cooking rolled oats
1 teaspoon 5mlVanilla
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozRaisins
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozWalnuts - chopped
1 cup 93g / 3.3ozFlaked coconut

Recipe Instructions

In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine and add brown sugar and orange juice. Stir constantly until sugar melts. Add vanilla and stir. Remove from heat and add rolled oats, nuts and coconut.

Spread in a 9- by 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into bars.

This recipe yields 15 bars.
