Multigrain Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
The flours in this recipe will vary in water absorption and so you may need to add more flour or water to get the right consistancy. This recipe yields 1 loaf.

1 1/3 cups | 315ml | Water |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Honey |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Bread flour |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Whole-wheat flour |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Toasted rolled oats - see * Note |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Dry milk |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Cornmeal |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Wheat germ - toasted |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Bread machine yeast |
* Note: To toast rolled oats, spread the oats on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Place all ingredients in your machine in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Select the Basic/White cycle and press start.
