  Medium 1 1/2 Lb Loaf
1 cup 237mlWater - plus
2 tablespoons 30mlWater
1 tablespoon 15mlButter
1   Egg
1 teaspoon 5mlLemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlSalt
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar
2 1/2 cups 156g / 5.5ozBread flour
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozWhole-wheat flour
3 tablespoons 45mlWheat germ - toasted
4 tablespoons 60mlPowdered milk
2 1/2 teaspoons 12mlActive dry yeast
1/3 cup 53g / 1.9ozRaisins
1/3 cup 48g / 1.7ozWalnuts - chopped

Recipe Instructions

Place all ingredients (except the raisins and walnuts) in your machine in the order specified by your machine's manufacturer. Select the basic/white cycle and press start. If your basic/white cycle doesn't have an add ingredients beep, use the cycle that does or turn on the add ingredients beep. Otherwise add the raisins and walnuts during the last 10 to 15 minutes of the final knead cycle.

This recipe yields 1 loaf.
