Crunchy Honey Wheat Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Warm water (110 degrees) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Honey |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Bread flour |
1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | Whole-wheat flour |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Vital wheat gluten |
1/2 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Nut-like cereal nuggets or granola |
Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the machine's manufacturer. Select whole wheat or dough cycle on bread machine. Start.
To bake bread in oven: Select dough or manual cycle. Once cycle is complete, shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan. Allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 200 degrees.
This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
