Cheese Herb Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Warm water - (110 degrees) |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Bread flour |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dry milk |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | White sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine - softened |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Grated Parmesan cheese - (to 3 tbspns) |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Dried marjoram |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Dried thyme |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried basil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried oregano |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Active dry yeast |
Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the machine's manufacturer. Select the basic bread cycle. Select start.
To bake bread in oven, select dough or manual cycle. Once cycle is complete, shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan. Allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 200 degrees.
This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
