Sourdough Peasant Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
Small 1 Lb Loaf | ||
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Active dry yeast |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Salt |
2 1/4 cups | 140g / 4.9oz | Bread flour |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Warm water |
1 1/4 teaspoons | 6.3ml | Sugar |
1 1/8 cups | 266ml | Sourdough starter |
For a sour bread, feed the starter several days before starting the bread. For a fluffy bread, feed the starter a half day before starting the bread.
Add the ingredients to the pan in the order recommended by machine manufacturer. Select "White Bread".
This recipe yields 1 loaf.
