Made with Robin Hood Best for Bread Homestyle white flour, Onion, Garlic and Herb bread combines the perfect amount of onion, garlic and fresh herbs. As the perfect complement to your favourite dishes of the season, Onion, Garlic and Herb bread is also a tasty treat on its own or warmed and served with butter. But no matter how you serve it, Onion, Garlic and Herb bread doesn't stand a ghost of a chance of staying around very long!

2 teaspoons | 10ml | Granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Robin Hood/SAF Perfect Rise Gourmet Yeast |
Large Loaf 1 1/2 To 2 Lb Machine | ||
2/3 cup | 41g / 1.4oz | Chopped onion |
2 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine |
1 cup | 237ml | Water - plus |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh herbs - minced |
3 cups | 711ml | Robin Hood Best for Bread |
Homestyle white flour | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Granulated sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Robin Hood/SAF Perfect Rise Gourmet Yeast |
Saute the onions and garlic in butter or margarine until tender. Cool to room temperature. Add to bread machine, along with other ingredients in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Select Basic White Cycle.
Tips: Try fresh thyme, basil, rosemary or oregano. Replace fresh herbs with dried: 3/4 teaspoon for small loaf or 1 teaspoon for large.
This recipe yields 1 loaf.
