Honey Buttermilk Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Yeast |
3 cups | 187g / 6.6oz | Bread flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Buttermilk |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Margarine |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Honey |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
Measure all ingredients into machine according to manufacturer's directions. Push start.
This recipe yields 1 loaf.
For Rolls: Let the machine do the work through the MANUAL method (or DOUGH cycle). Then knead again adding some flour if the dough is sticky. Shape into rolls and allow to rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned. You may use an egg wash and sprinkle with seeds of our choice; sesame or caraway.
