Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozUnsalted butter - (1 stick)
2 oz 56gUnsweetened chocolate - chopped
1/3 cup 36g / 1.3ozUnsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons 10mlVanilla
2 cups 396g / 13ozPowdered sugar
2/3 cup 157mlSour cream - more or less

Recipe Instructions

Melt unsalted butter and chocolate in heavy small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Whisk in cocoa powder and vanilla. Whisk in 1 cup sugar and 1/3 cup sour cream. Gradually whisk in enough of remaining sour cream to form spreadable frosting.

This recipe yields about 3 cups.
