Caramelized Apples Recipe - Cooking Index
Great with the blintzes or ice cream. This recipe originally accompanied "Cheese Blintzes With Carmelized Apples" (see recipe).
Type: Fruit1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Unsalted butter |
4 cups | 948ml | Golden Delicious apples - peeled, cored, (large) |
And each cut into 8 slices | ||
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced apples and saute 3 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and saute until apples are golden brown and just tender, about 8 minutes longer. (Can be prepared 3 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature; rewarm before using.)
This recipe yields 4 servings.
