Grilled Glazed Macadamia Bananas Recipe - Cooking Index
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Ripe bananas - (to 4) (medium) |
6 | Ten-inch metal or bamboo skewers - soaked in water | |
For at least 30 minutes, if bamboo | ||
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Melted butter or margarine |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Honey |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Macadamia nuts - chopped finely |
= (or substitute toasted pecans) |
Thread one banana half (halved lengthwise) onto each skewer. Stir margarine and honey together; brush bananas generously with mixture.
Grill bananas several minutes or until slightly browned and bubbly, turning once. Brush with butter. Lightly roll bananas in nuts. Serve warm.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
