Smaking Wings Recipe - Cooking Index
These wings are a tangy and sweet version of Buffalo wings. To increase the "sweat quotient," add more pepper and Tabasco.

1/2 cup | 118ml | Salad oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Balsamic vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Honey |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cane syrup |
= (or dark corn syrup) | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Tabasco sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red pepper flakes |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried thyme |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 | Worcestershire sauce | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cayenne |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground nutmeg |
Cut off and discard the bony wing tips. Cut the remaining wings in half.
In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix well. Marinate the wings in this mixture for 1 hour in the refrigerator, then grill at a medium-high heat for 15 to 20 minutes, turning frequently.
This recipe yields 32 pieces.
