Oven Or Grill Baked BBQ Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
This is a typical BBQ bean recipe, which can be started in the oven and finished on the grill. It is particularly good with ribs or beef brisket and other smoked meats.

1 cup | 237ml | Mustard |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Molasses |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Coffee |
1 cup | 237ml | Cider vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Liquid smoke |
4 cups | 948ml | Ham in 1" dice |
4 | Onions diced | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Curry powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Granulated garlic |
Salt - to taste | ||
Water - as needed |
While the beans are cooking, saute the onions until transparent, cook the diced ham until crisp, and then mix everything together in a large ovenproof pot.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours until the top has browned and formed a crust.
Cook them on the grill for several hours along with the meat, stirring occasionally so that they absorb some of the smoke flavor from the cooking. If they get too dry, add some water.
