Honey-Five Spice Marinade/Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Soy sauce |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Chinese five-spice powder |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Granulated garlic |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1 cup | 237ml | Honey |
Blend in everything except the honey to marinate the chicken.
Baste the chicken with the sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking and also begin basting the chicken with the honey. Monitor the fire carefully so the sugar in the honey doesn't cause the chicken to burn.
Just before serving, add the honey to the sauce and carefully reduce the mixture to create the sauce.
