Carolina Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
Carolina-style barbecue is traditionally on the sour side. If you want a sweeter sauce, add 1/2 cup brown sugar and a pinch of ground mace to the recipe
Courses: Sauces1/2 cup | 118ml | Red-wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Peanut oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dijon mustard |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sweet paprika |
Combine all of the ingredients in a cast-iron sauce pot on your side burner and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
This recipe yields about 1 cup.
