Grilled Oriental Shrimp

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozShelled deveined shrimp
1/2 cup 118mlSoy sauce
1/4 cup 59mlSesame oil
1 tablespoon 15mlBrown sugar
1 tablespoon 15mlFinely-chopped fresh gingerroot
  = (or 3/4 tspn ground ginger)
3   Green onions - chopped

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl; cover and refrigerate for 6 hours.

Prepare a grill. Drain shrimp, reserving marinade. Place shrimp on skewers. Grill for about 5 minutes or until shrimp are cooked thoroughly, turning shrimp frequently and basting with reserved marinade.

To serve, arrange shrimp (on or off skewers) on a serving platter.

This recipe yields 2 to 3 servings.
