Grilled Oriental Shrimp Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Shelled deveined shrimp |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sesame oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Finely-chopped fresh gingerroot |
= (or 3/4 tspn ground ginger) | ||
3 | Green onions - chopped |
Combine all ingredients in a bowl; cover and refrigerate for 6 hours.
Prepare a grill. Drain shrimp, reserving marinade. Place shrimp on skewers. Grill for about 5 minutes or until shrimp are cooked thoroughly, turning shrimp frequently and basting with reserved marinade.
To serve, arrange shrimp (on or off skewers) on a serving platter.
This recipe yields 2 to 3 servings.
