Dink's BBQ Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
"If you're diabetic, like I am, use no-sugar preserves and no-salt catsup, the sauce will still taste great."
Courses: Sauces1 tablespoon | 15ml | Oil |
5 | Garlic cloves - (to 6) - chopped | |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped onion |
1 1/3 cups | 315ml | Catsup |
2/3 cup | 157ml | Apricot or pineapple preserves |
Chile powder - to taste |
In oil, saute garlic and onion until tender and brown. Add catsup and preserves. Stir until boiling. Add chile powder. Remove from heat, let cool to thicken.
Store any leftovers in refrigerator.
