Herb-Butter Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
An easy way to add great flavor to simple grilled fish or veggies. Put that summer herb garden to good use!
Courses: Sauces1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Snipped fresh basil |
= (or 1 1/2 tspns dried basil, crushed) | ||
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Snipped fresh oregano |
= (or 1/2 tspn dried oregano, crushed) | ||
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Snipped fresh tarragon |
= (or 1/2 tspn dried tarragon, crushed) | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Snipped chives |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Snipped fresh thyme |
= (or 1/4 tspn dried thyme, crushed) | ||
1 | Freshly-ground black pepper |
In a small saucepan melt butter. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook 1 to 2 minutes to blend flavors. Serve with grilled fish or vegetables.
This recipe yields sauce for 8 servings.
