Brisket Beer Mop Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Beer - (12 oz) | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cider vinegar |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Water |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Light oil (Canola is good) |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - diced (small) |
3 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne |
Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan over low heat. Cook until thoroughly dissolved. Mop over brisket ever hour until brisket is cooked. Brisket will take 1 to 1 1/4 hours per pound in a smoker at about 200 to 220 degrees.
