Bourbon Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Ketchip |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mild-flavored (light) molasses |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Bourbon |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dijon mustard |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Hot pepper sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worchestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Paprika |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion powder |
Combine all ingredients in a heavy large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
This sauce can be made 1 week ahead if kept in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
This recipe yields 2 1/2 cups.
