1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
Yogurt and Feta Sauce | ||
1 | Athenos Traditional Crumbled Feta Cheese - (4 oz) | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Plain yogurt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Milk |
1 | Garlic clove - minced | |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Chopped seeded tomato |
1/3 cup | 48g / 1.7oz | Chopped seeded peeled cucumber |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Finely-chopped fresh dill |
Mix meat, parsley, egg, crumbs, garlic, salt and pepper. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
Heat oil in medium skillet. Add meatballs. Cook on medium-low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until cooked through, stirring occasionally. Serve with Yogurt And Feta Sauce.
Yogurt And Feta Sauce: Place feta cheese, yogurt, milk and garlic in food processor container fitted with steel blade or in blender container; cover. Blend until smooth. Stir in tomato, cucumber and dill. (Makes 2 cups)
This recipe yields 20 meatballs.
Variation: Try ground lamb in place of half or all of the ground beef.
