2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dark soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot pepper sauce |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Sugar |
Cooking | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cooking oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Shredded orange peel |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Red bell pepper - cut 1" cubes (small) |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - cut 3/4" cubes (small) |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Cornstarch - dissolved in |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Diamond Sesame Glazed Walnuts |
Orange slices - for garnish |
Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add beef and stir to coat. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Place a wok over high heat until hot. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of the oil, swirling to coat sides. Add beef and stir-fry until no longer pink, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove meat from wok.
Add remaining 1/2 tablespoon oil, swirling to coat sides. Add orange peel, bell pepper and onion; stir-fry for 1 minute. Return meat to wok and add sauce; bring to a boil. Add cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
Place on a serving plate. Sprinkle with Diamond Sesame Glazed Walnuts. Garnish with orange slices.
