1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Red-wine vinegar |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
1 | Bay leaf | |
6 | Whole cloves | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 | Carrot - diced | |
1 | Onion - sliced | |
1 | Celery rib - sliced | |
1 | Leek - sliced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Italion seasoning |
(or a mixture of the following) | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried rosemary |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried marjoram |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried sweet basil |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried oregano |
Combine all ingredients.
