Gypsy Dumplings (excellent on rabbit stew) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1 | Salt | |
2 | Eggs - lightly beaten | |
Milk - as needed |
Sift flour with baking powder and a pinch of salt. Add alternately eggs and enough cold milk to make a stiff batter. Drop by small spoonfuls onto boiling rabbit stew; let rise, then cover and cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
This recipe yields enough dumplings for 4 to 6 servings.
