Parboiled and ground 'chuck meat | ||
Bread or cracker crumbs - as needed | ||
Chopped onion - as needed | ||
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
Beaten egg(s) - as needed | ||

Apple or currant jelly - as needed |
Grind parboiled woodchuck meat, add crumbs or crackers, and blend with chopped onion to burger consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Form into patties. Dip into beaten egg, roll in more crumbs, and fry in hot fat. Spread with apple or currant jelly and bake at 350 degrees fore 1 hour.
