Smothered Dove Breasts Recipe - Cooking Index
It's that time of year again. The leaves are starting to turn and you wonder where the summer went. It's hunting season again, you've got the freezer full of fish and you're ready for a change of pace. Let's break out the scatter guns and try our luck on those fast-flying, slate-colored birds called doves. Remember to take several boxes of shells !!

And rinse in cold water | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
2 cups | 474ml | Water |
1 | Onion soup mix | |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Celery salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
Hot mashed potatoes |
Combine flour, celery salt and garlic powder. Roll doves in this flour mixture. Brown in 1/2 cup cooking oil. Drain oil and add water, onion soup mix and Worcestershire. Simmer for one hour. Serve with mashed potatoes.
