1 | Onion - chopped | |
10 | Garlic cloves - minced | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Tabasco sauce |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Tomatoes - canned |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Thyme |
8 oz | 227g | Tomato sauce - canned |
4 oz | 113g | Mozzarella cheese - thin slice |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Parmesan cheese - grated |
Drain cooked asparagus; arrange in shallow baking dish. Sauteeonion and garlic in oil in saucepan until golden. Add salt, Tabasco sauce, and tomatoes; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes Add thyme and tomato sauce; simmer 20 minutes Pour over asparagus. Place slices of mozzarella cheese over top. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake in preheated 350 oven 30 minutes.
