Sweet Barbecue Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Ketchup - (14 oz) | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Molasses |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Creole or whole grain mustard |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Chopped garlic |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onions |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Light brown sugar - (firmly packed) |
1 | Hot pepper sauce | |
1 | Worcestershire sauce | |
1 | Salt | |
1 | Cayenne | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Peeled, grated fresh ginger |
1 | Freshly-ground black pepper |
In a food processor fitted with a metal blade, combine all of the ingredients. Process until smooth, about 15 seconds. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula. Pulse two or three times. Refrigerate overnight before using.
This recipe yields about 2 cups.
