Chinese Style Peanut Butter Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Raw shelled peanuts |
3 cups | 711ml | Peanut oil |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Heat the oil in a heavy skillet. When the oil is hot, add the peanuts and fry for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly. Drain. In a food processor, fitted with a metal blade, puree the peanuts and 2 tablespoons of the oil until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and cool.
This recipe yields about 1/2 cup.
