2 oz | 56g | Butter |
1/2 oz | 14g | Onion - chopped (medium) |
3 | Celery stalks - diced | |
1/3 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Diced carrot |
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Slivered almonds |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Wild rice |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown rice |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Chopped fresh mushrooms |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Beef broth |
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and saute onion, celery, carrots, and almonds for two to three minutes. Add rice and mushrooms and saute for four additional minutes. Add broth, cover, and transfer to a preheated 350 degree oven for one hour.
Serves 4.
