1/2 cup | 118ml | Olive oil |
12 | Saffron threads | |
1 | Red bell pepper - roasted, peeled, and diced | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Chopped garlic |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cayenne pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
In a small saucepan, slowly heat the olive oil and saffron for 5 minutes, remove from the heat and cool to room temperature.
Combine the pepper, mayonnaise, garlic, salt, cayenne, and lemon juice in the work bowl of your food processor. While the machine is still running, slowly drizzle the saffron oil through the feed tube, until all is incorporated.
