Pecan-Orange French Toast Recipe - Cooking Index
4 | Eggs - lightly beaten | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Orange juice concentrate |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Finely-ground pecans |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Cinnamon |

10 | French bread - ( ea 1" thick) | |

Unsalted butter | ||
Maple syrup | ||
Powdered sugar | ||

In a shallow bowl beat together eggs, orange juice concentrate, milk, pecans, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. (Soak for 30 seconds on each side.)
In a skillet melt 1 tablespoon butter and cook the bread on both sides over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Serve with butter, syrup, powdered sugar and sausage.
This recipe yields 5 servings.
