The Ultimate Peanut-Butter Stuffed Celery

A stalk of celery smeared down its groove with a dollop of peanut butter has always been a popular kid's snack. This more grown-up version makes a great hors d'oeuvre that goes remarkably well with Bloody Marys.

Courses: Snacks, Starters and appetizers
Serves: 12 people

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup 148g / 5.2ozCrunchy peanut butter - at room temperature
3 oz 85gCream cheese - (1 pkg) - softened
1 tablespoon 15mlWorcestershire sauce - or to taste
  Tabasco sauce - to taste
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozFinely chopped fresh scallion greens
12   Celery stalks, small to medium - trimmed and chilled

Recipe Instructions

In a mixing bowl, stir together the peanut butter, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco until smoothly blended. Fold in the scallions.

With a knife, spread a dollop of the mixture down the groove of each celery stalk. Arrange the stalks on a tray or plate and serve immediately. This recipe serves 6 as a snack or 12 as an hors d'oeuvre.
