Warm Saute Of Winter Fruit

Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoons 30mlButter or margarine
2 tablespoons 30mlMaple syrup
1 tablespoon 15mlApple - cored; thinly (large) sliced
1   Firm - ripe pear, cored; thinly sliced
1/3 cup 53g / 1.9ozRaisins or currants
1/3 cup 48g / 1.7ozWalnuts or pecans - chopped
1   Ground cinnamon
1   Nutmeg
2 tablespoons 30mlWater
2 tablespoons 30mlBrandy

Recipe Instructions

1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and adjust to taste.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits are tender.

* Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
