Tropical Fruit Medley With Anise Recipe - Cooking Index
2/3 cup | 157ml | Unsweetened apple juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Anise seeds - crushed |
1 cup | 237ml | Cantaloupe balls |
1 cup | 237ml | Seedless red grapes |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Peeled coarsely chopped ripe fresh papaya |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Peeled coarsely chopped ripe fresh mango |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Brown sugar |
Fresh mint sprigs - (optional) |
Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan; stir with a wire whisk until blended.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and let cool.
Combine cantaloupe and next 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl, and add apple juice mixture, tossing gently. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup).
