Toffee Ice-Cream Topping Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Blue bonnet margarine |
2/3 cup | 106g / 3.7oz | Firmly packed brown sugar |
2 cups | 80g / 2.8oz | Cheerios cereal |
Vanilla ice cream |
Heat margarine in 2-quart saucepan until melted; stir in brown sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth; remove from heat. Stir in cereal until well coated.
Spread mixture in thin layer on ungreased cookie sheet; cool completely.
Break apart; serve over ice cream with chocolate sauce if desired. 2 cups topping.
