Sweet Potato Biscuits Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 177ml | Cooked and mashed sweet potatoes |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Applesauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Molasses |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Self-rising flour |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
Preheat over to 400F.
Mix sweet potatoes, applesauce, sugar, and molasses. Stir in flour and cinnamon. Roll to 1/4" thick and cut out with a glass or jar and place on a sprayed (lightly greased) cookie sheet. (If it's not thick enough, you can add more flour, or I just drop piles of dough on the sheet for "drop biscuits".)
Bake for 15-18 min at 400F until brown. Serve with molasses.
